Actually, the drive train on each of these works by electricity. The diesel motor drives an electric generator that provides electricity to the traction motors at each axle. Either way, fossil fuels (coal or oil) are used to create the energy to generate the electricity.

I can thank my mom for getting me into photography back when I was 13 in middle school in the small West Texas town of Snyder, Texas. I took an intro to black and white photography with darkroom work, and I was immediately hooked. I love the process of taking pictures, and love(d) the technical aspects of darkroom film development and enlargements. I had my own darkroom through high school, was on the yearbook staff, was Chief Photographer during my senior year. I took as many pictures as I could and had a photography business going.
