This herd of buffalo is grazing just east of Cimarron, New Mexico. A summer thunderstorm is building along the Sangre de Cristo mountain range to the west toward Eagle Nest, New Mexico. This photo is looking northward.

I can thank my mom for getting me into photography back when I was 13 in middle school in the small West Texas town of Snyder, Texas. I took an intro to black and white photography with darkroom work, and I was immediately hooked. I love the process of taking pictures, and love(d) the technical aspects of darkroom film development and enlargements. I had my own darkroom through high school, was on the yearbook staff, was Chief Photographer during my senior year. I took as many pictures as I could and had a photography business going. But then my senior year I discovered computers and went to Texas Tech and earned a Computer Science degree. Then got married, had kids, and yada yada yada, my oldest son is now graduating college, also...
