This photo was taken east of Trinidad on the Colorado High Plains looking west toward the Sangre de Cristo mountain range and the Spanish Peaks. On the left are the mesas that Trinidad is located next to. The New Mexico border is about five miles to the south.

I can thank my mom for getting me into photography back when I was 13 in middle school in the small West Texas town of Snyder, Texas. I took an intro to black and white photography with darkroom work, and I was immediately hooked. I love the process of taking pictures, and love(d) the technical aspects of darkroom film development and enlargements. I had my own darkroom through high school, was on the yearbook staff, was Chief Photographer during my senior year. I took as many pictures as I could and had a photography business going. But then my senior year I discovered computers and went to Texas Tech and earned a Computer Science degree. Then got married, had kids, and yada yada yada, my oldest son is now graduating college, also...
